Senior Regional Marketing Associate– San Francisco Bay Area

As a Senior Regional Marketing Associate, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of DMA level strategies for restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area while being based in your home office. Focus is on providing training, resources and consultation to support system programs and local partnerships. RMM will work directly with Franchisees, Franchise Business Consultants (FBC’s), Marketing department and external agencies to support regional goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage sales driving programs for assigned markets in partnership with Franchisees: San Francisco, Salinas/Monterey, Seattle and Oregon (Markets subject to change based on development.)
  • Effectively plan and utilize budgets at the DMA and local store level
  • Work with media agency to leverage media buys for added value awareness
  • Communicate media rationale, promotion details, and store support
  • Partner with media agency to optimize geo-targeted social/digital communications
  • Develop cross promotion opportunities with local venues, charities, and other partners
  • Develop and execute plans for new restaurant openings, remodels and transfers with the FBC’s
  • Communicate and support any competitive intrusion plans with franchisees
  • Actively participate in franchise meetings with knowledge and advocacy of current programs (DMA/Co-op meetings, town halls and training sessions)
  • Perform routine visits to stores to train on marketing tools, support promotions, stay in tune with operations and collaborate with franchisees on effective programs
  • Analyze and communicate performance of DMA and local activities to determine ROI and best practices
  • Special projects as assigned (e.g. menu/beverage promotions, research intercepts)
  • Position is home office based so the ability to work independently at a high level is essential to success.

    Education, Experience & Special Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
    • 2 years of field marketing experience in a franchisee retail system
    • Proven ability to work remotely with franchisees and corporate office partners
    • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building
    • Strong time management ability – able to work in a home office environment
    • Ability to visit local restaurants on a regular basis (40% of time in field, only local candidates will be considered)
